
HCLTech announced a partnership with Microsoft to develop joint solutions in generative artificial intelligence. HCLTech will also establish the Microsoft Cloud Generative AI Center of Excellence (GenAI CoE) to develop personalized, data-driven solutions for enterprises. This is the second Generative AI CoE announced by HCLTech. This follows on the heels of a similar collaboration with Google to build the Google Cloud GenAI CoE.
The partnership between HCLTech and Microsoft enables customers to increase productivity, streamline operations, and accelerate application development using Azure OpenAI Service. The Azure OpenAI service provides Representational State Transfer (REST) API access to OpenAI’s language models such as GPT-3 and Codex.

Additionally, HCLTech and Microsoft will offer a skills development program that certifies the company’s 10,000 engineers in advanced AI technologies. This program provides access to dedicated resources and tools. HCLTech will also adopt Microsoft 365 and Viva Copilot capabilities to enhance business processes and improve employee productivity.

HCLTech provides end-to-end AI capabilities in areas such as chip development and business process optimization. By building strategic partnerships with Microsoft and others, HCLTech aims to drive adoption of generative AI across industries, the company said in a statement.

Last week, Capgemini announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for generative AI. Called Generative AI Google Cloud CoE, the service helps clients create value from their AI investments. In May, IBM announced the formation of a CoE for Generative AI.
