Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick has dismissed the idea that generative AI will play any role in future games. GTA6concerns about Google’s Genie 3 have led to concerns that it could be the “end of game studios.”
People have been sharing footage of games they claim were made in “minutes,” including one they dubbed “GTA 6 Greenland Edition.”
The idea that AI can be used to create things in minutes that would take game studios weeks or months may ring alarm bells for people who make games for a living. But cost-cutting bosses may be hoping to cut wages by outsourcing creative tasks to artificial intelligence.
Even if someone could generate a mockup of a gameplay clip within minutes, it would still fall short of a polished product created by a team of experts.
AI can create one-minute videos that resemble games; GTA6 has been in development for years, and Zelnick told gamesindustry.biz that Rockstar Games considered generative AI to be “zero” in making the highly anticipated game.
Take-Two owner Rockstar Games and Zelnick argued that the company has “always” made extensive use of AI, but that AI is being used as a tool rather than a replacement for creativity.
He previously made his position on AI clear, telling CNBC, “AI models are data-driven, so there’s no creativity that can exist by definition.”
Even though the Genie 3 has great technology, Zelnick dismissed the idea that Rockstar would use it for any other purpose. GTA6 He said Take-Two has become a “leader in this space” and has found that “generative AI tools are driving cost and time efficiencies.”
“Having said that, do I think the tools themselves produce good entertainment? No, there is no evidence that this is the case, nor will it be the case in the future.
“in particular, GTA6the generative AI has absolutely no role in what Rockstar Games is building. Their world is handmade. That’s what sets them apart.
“They’re built from the ground up, building by building, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood. They aren’t, and shouldn’t be, procedurally generated. That’s what makes for great entertainment.”

When will GTA 6 be available for pre-order?
The simple answer is when will we find out since pre-orders haven’t started yet, but GAMINGbible expects something to be announced in May at the earliest.
They think Take-Two’s next earnings call will come in three months, making it the right time to start announcing next steps. GTA6And marketing for the game should ramp up over the summer.
As such, there will be a lot of interest in further trailers that may show more details about the game, as well as an announcement of when pre-orders will be available.
For now, though, you’ll have to sit still.

What is the current release date for GTA 6?
“When? GTA6 “Are you coming out?” is a question that has been asked on many people’s lips, especially since it’s always changing.
Originally scheduled for release in late 2025, Rockstar later announced that GTA6 The release date will be retroactive to May 26, 2026.
Unfortunately, that release date didn’t last long either, so the latest information on when the game will first be available is that it will be released on November 19th of this year.
At this point, it’s just a matter of crossing all our fingers and toes that we don’t get another painful update that actually means we’ll have to wait until 2027 for the game to be released.

A physical copy of GTA 6 exists
For those who want to own the actual disc GTA6 The sign looks good on it.
Gamers will be able to purchase a physical copy of the game once it is finally released, but GAMINGbible says that rumors circulating about the game’s physical sales are false.
Debunking this claim, they pointed out that Mr. Zelnick’s recent earnings call made clear that there is no delay in having a physical copy. GTA6 in your hands.
