According to news from Passionategeekz on June 15, Microsoft released the Windows 11 Build 26236.5000 preview update to the Canary channel on June 13. In the “Privacy and Security” category of the Settings app,Introducing our new Generative AI subpage.

Passionategeekz attaches four configuration options to this page as follows:

Generative AI Access

When you enable this option in the user configuration, the Generative AI-enabled applications in the list will be available to all accounts on the local device.

Enabling generative AI in your apps

This option allows users to select apps that support generative AI.

The media speculates that once users have selected specific applications that support generative AI, these applications will be listed under the option, with a switch option on the right allowing users to customize whether or not to enable generative AI.

Recent Activities

This option lists all AI requests generated by the app in the last seven days. All three settings are not permanent and may be changed by Microsoft or moved to other parts of the Settings app.
