Google's latest AI video model, VEO 3 (this is the one with audio), is now available within Canva. Provide creators of all levels with an easy way to generate high-quality video clips from text prompts.
A new feature called Create a Video Clip is now live for Canva Pro ($15/$15 or $120 per person per year), teams, enterprises and non-profit users.
New features allow you to enter short prompts. “Rural morning sunrise” or “Movie Product Teaser” – And instantly generate 8 seconds of high quality video with synchronous audio.
This video can be opened directly in Canva's video editor and can be tweaked with music, text, and more. You can also drop it on social media designs, presentations, or other projects.
This is one of the first major integrations of Google Veo 3, a few weeks after Google first debuted the model with I/O 2025.
Why is it important?
For many creators, AI-generated videos are powerful, but difficult to use and even more difficult for casual users. VEO 3 and Google Flow are part of the Ultra package, which costs $249 per month.
By bringing the Veo 3 to Canva's all-in-one platform, video creation is now as accessible as generating AI images or graphics.
As part of the press release, Canva says this is part of a “multi-model” approach that aims to put AI-powered design tools into a single workflow.
It also shows how quickly AI video generation is evolving. The fact that users can now create video clips of sophisticated brands with just a few clicks seems impossible a year ago.
How to try VEO 3 with Camba
The creation of the video clips has now been live within Canva AI. Select from the homepage or sidebar and type Prompt to start generating. It takes just under 2 minutes for the video generation.
This feature is limited to five generations per month at launch, but Canva says it's coming with more capacity. It also deploys across leonardo.ai for paid users on the platform.
Like Canva's other AI tools, this is backed by the company's trust and safety system of AI content, Canva Shield.
Conclusion
Video generated by AI is moving rapidly. With VEO 3 built into Canva, making short, movie-quality clips is much easier.
Whether you're creating social media content, marketing your business, enjoying your projects, or taking it from someone who's extensively tested VEO 3, this is an AI video tool worth trying.
