The use of artificial intelligence in the workplace is growing, but there are certain issues only in certain regions. In particular, corporate employees point out that management is not sufficient to properly implement new technologies, and according to Gallup research, artificial intelligence per se is often not really useful.

Research shows that the use of artificial intelligence by American workers has almost doubled over the past two years, from 21% in 2023 to 40% in 2025, according to the report. Only 8% of respondents who use AI every day use AI compared to 4% in 2023.

The biggest users of AI are white-collar workers, non-physical workers who work in government, programming, finance, sales and more. 27% of white-collar workers frequently use AI, increasing by 12% from 2024. The most popular industries include technology (50%), professional services (34%), and finance (32%). At the same time, the use of AI in physical labor and manufacturing has decreased from 11% in 2023 to 9% in 2025.

Currently, frequent use of artificial intelligence is recognized among managers – 33%. However, the management problem is that new technology from subordinates cannot be implemented correctly. 44% of respondents said their organization has begun implementing AI, but only 22% pointed out that they are doing so with a clear plan or strategy. 30% say they have only general recommendations.

The use of artificial intelligence is growing, but its benefits remain relatively small. Only 16% of respondents strongly agree that new technology will help them in their work. Most employees don't make much profit from implementing AI, whether it's because of a lack of a clear strategy or for other reasons.

Furthermore, workers are not worried about AI going to work yet. Just as new technology has been in the past five years, only 15% of respondents said they could threaten their position over the next five years. In the industry, the people who are most concerned about their job belong to 21%, retail – 21%, finance – 20%.
