- Google makes VEO 3 and VEO 3 First Video Generator “generally” available to vertex AI users.
- VEO 3 tries to balance speed with VEO's high quality video generation for users looking for faster results.
- Google will tease both models pick images into the video feature in another update scheduled for August with Vertex AI.
Today (July 29th), there is a huge VEO 3 update being rolled out for stakeholders, as well as a major teaser on new and familiar capital.
Google detailed the Veo 3 update this morning via a Cloud Blog post, notifying users that an AI-powered video generator has become fully available on Vertex AI. Other than this, Google has also introduced a new version called “Veo 3 Fast.” This VEO model is a little lighter for users looking to complete “work that requires quick iteration and speed.”
VEO 3 Fast is reportedly skilled at generating and testing corporate ad variations “quickly”; This model can also create a “video demonstration” of the product based on the images provided. Additionally, Google says Veo Fast can create training materials for “engaging animation experts” and new recruits.
The company is fasting about VEO 3 in the same vein as the Gemini 2.5 Flash. The VEO 3 high speed is reportedly balanced between light weight but fast processing time and powerful visual quality output.

Google's VEO 3 FAST model is available in Vertex AI alongside the larger VEO 3 model. This post highlights several ways users can enjoy both AI video generators, such as more storytelling. With Vertex AI, the user sets up the scene and all comes into a single prompt with the audio they want to include. When a character is talking, Google says what you want to say to them, as well as any other background sounds you want to include.
In a related note, VEO 3 features native dialogue generation. This helps businesses “connect with an international audience.” VEO 3 and VEO 3 generate videos at once at high speed, but “localize interactions between many languages.”
All the generated videos arrive at 1080p, giving users a little more confidence in the quality before showing off it.
Regarding the VEO 3 teaser, Google said that both models will receive image-to-video generation capabilities with Vertex AI in August. This has already arrived several times through Gemini updates and another Google Photos update. Both were unfolded in July. Currently, VEO 3 and VEO 3 Fast make this feature available for users to experiment, allowing 8-second video clips based on the photos they provide.
