Google's AI-driven video editing tools are now available to all users.

AI Video & Visuals

Google uses Google Vids, an AI-powered video tool, to make creating videos easier and more accessible. Since last year, VIDS has been available only to Workspace customers, but is now also available to free users. Google Vids helps you create sophisticated videos quickly, and the latest updates make it even more powerful.

Google VIDS now allows users to generate short AI videos using VEO 3 using sound. The new image-to-video feature allows teams to convert photos to 8-second video using sound using simple text prompts. It is perfect for animating product images, stock photos, or visuals for presentations, marketing, and social media content.

For those recording their own videos, VIDS offers automatic transcript trimming to remove filler words and nasty pauses, reducing editing time. Features like noise cancellation, background options, filters, and appearance settings will also be available soon.

Google has also launched a new “Vids on Vids” teaching series. It provides best practices and features such as AI avatars, narration, animations and more. “Our series covers typical video workflows, so you'll learn how to use VIDS recording studios, how to plan video stories using AI, how to use animations and transitions to attract audiences.
