AI Video & Visuals

Google Workspace Suite has many popular products, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Meet. However, there are less popular members of the Google Workspace family in the headline today. That is, it's Google Vids, and it's trending as Google announced it was recently equipped to turn static images into stylish videos.

In a blog post published yesterday, Google revealed that the image-to-video feature is equipped with VEO 3. Expanded for public use this April (2025), VEO 3 is Google's most advanced video AI model, and is particularly trained to generate creative videos. Many are fascinated by the ability to create videos from text prompts and images, such as popular ones Influder A video depicting many stereotypical “influencers” who respond to the end of the world.

Google is currently publishing a YouTube video showing how impressive the new features are. In the video, Google shows the short process of getting the image, writing a short video description, then clicking Generate to receive an incredibly realistic video with accurately drawn prompts. You can check out the YouTube videos below to determine yourself when the generated video is truly impressive.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to the new VIDS features right away. Google “will have access to this new feature (such as AI avatars and automatic transcript trim) just like Google Workspace customers and subscribers to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra.” However, Google has thrown free users into the bones by simultaneously announcing that the classic Google VIDS editor interface is free and publicly available without AI capabilities.
