AI Video & Visuals

OpenAI hosted a live stream event “Spring Updates” to show off its freshly baked AI model GPT-4o and the new ChatGPT app for Mac users. The company showcased the capabilities of its latest AI models through a series of videos.

But it didn't take long for Google to post a demo video on X (formerly Twitter) to show the world what a prototype version of Gemini AI could do. In the video, Gemini is seen analyzing the camera. Receive real-time video feeds and human questions.

The model responds to questions about what's happening in the video feed and identifies the meaning of letters written on the screen. It also attempts to continue the conversation by asking the human follow-up questions. Also, conversations between humans will be displayed as text on the screen by Gemini.

The video was released just a day before the search giant kicked off its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2024. His keynote will begin on May 14 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, where the company plans to talk about his latest developments on Gemini AI, Android 15, Google Search, and more.

Speaking of updates, useful features from the web version of Gemini may be coming to the Android app. Android tipster AssembleDebug has discovered a “Real Time Response” option in Android's Gemini settings menu. This feature allows users to read responses as soon as the chatbot starts generating them.

Gemini reportedly may allow you to add your favorite music streaming apps and access YouTube Music data to provide better search results. Google is also working on adding a “stop” button to Gemini's Android app to allow users to stop response generation midway through.
