Gemini replaces Google Assistant
The company announced that Gemini for Home is all set to replace Google Assistants from Nest Speakers and Displays over time. Gemini for Home offers deeper inference, advanced search capabilities, and more fluid conversations. However, users can still say “Hey Google,” but the interaction feels more intuitive.In addition to this, the assistant will also be introducing Gemini Live. This is a conversation model that allows for back and forth dialogue without repeating wake words. “Starting a conversation between “Hey Google, Let's Chat” and Gemini Live, and from that point on, there's a natural before and after discussion (no more “Hey Google” is needed).
