FuboTV has announced upgrades to its iOS and Android apps, adding several AI-powered features to streaming sports and news on mobile.
New features include:
- Carousel live video: Live inline video on the home screen allows users to find content without leaving the home page.
- Advanced team channels: Create game coverage and news playlists for your DVR content Fubo’s existing Team Channels feature now includes filters based on coverage of your favorite leagues and major sports moments. Fubo’s AI creates playlists by identifying individual moments within all shows and selects relevant video thumbnails for the carousel.
- Vertical video for team channels: The team channels content in portrait mode using AI-based zoom to focus on key areas of the video. Expected to go on sale within the next few weeks.
- Key moments in game alerts: Baseball fans can receive push notifications about important plays and tap into those moments directly within the app.
- Breaking News Alert: Live news coverage with text alerts for breaking news with just one tap.
