Australian small and medium-sized businesses will be able to access expert advice on how to safely introduce artificial intelligence into their operations following the announcement of a new $17 million program.
Minister of Science, Industry and Energy Ed Fusick today announced four AI Recruiting Centers to connect businesses with AI expertise as part of the AI Recruitment Programme.
The four AI recruitment projects will be run by:
- The Boab AI Adopt Centre is a consortium of industry and university partners offering courses and one-on-one mentoring on AI in healthcare, agriculture, renewable energy and low-emission technologies.
- Digital Transformation Australia is leveraging its Advanced Robotic Manufacturing (ARM) Hub to provide manufacturing SMEs with a pathway to understand how AI can benefit their business.
- elevenM empowers small and medium-sized businesses through the design and implementation of AI solutions with a focus on workflow and governance solutions.
- and Redgrid Internet of Energy Enterprises, focusing on local small and medium-sized enterprises in the agriculture, forestry, fisheries and renewable technology sectors.
The four organisations were selected through a competitive grant-making process, each targeting businesses in priority sectors for the National Recovery Fund.

The ARM Hub AI Recruitment Centre will provide integrated services that demonstrate how data and AI can modernise businesses, build skills and improve productivity.”
The centre will demonstrate how AI can modernise business and improve productivity, and provide free specialist training to equip companies and staff with the skills to manage AI effectively.
These centers will complement the National Artificial Intelligence Center and join the Responsible AI Network.
