Cypress, California—FOR-A will focus entirely on software-defined, AI-driven solutions during the 2026 NAB Show April 18-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, bringing dramatic changes to its hardware-centric foundations.
The FOR-A booth will showcase all solutions as interactive demos, accessible via the kiosk’s touch screen. Visitors can watch demonstrations and perform driving maneuvers from kiosks. Video demonstrations will also be displayed on FOR-A partner Alfalite’s LED wall for a more immersive viewing experience. FOR-A representatives explain how the company’s new solutions can help you overcome today’s live video production challenges.
“This will be an important NAB for FOR-A,” said Satoshi Kanemura, president and COO of FOR-A America. “This year’s products demonstrate our commitment to developing the best, future-ready tools that enable software-defined and AI-driven live production workflows across a variety of budgets and applications.

“Our 9:16 real-time automatic cropping and tracking AI tools can instantly unlock your mobile audience revenue stream while reducing your current workload and costs. AI-powered visual-based mix and effects creation and automated system diagram generation improve creativity and dramatically increase operational efficiency.”
To support vertical displays, the company highlights the expansion of viztrick AiDi’s GoVertical!, an on-device AI solution developed by Nippon Television and delivered globally by FOA.
Unlike many current solutions, which have a 5-10 second delay, this AI-powered technology operates at true broadcast speeds, enabling near real-time processing. Powered by NVIDIA’s high-performance GPUs, it enables true live streaming, allowing viewers to experience every moment as it is, and allowing broadcasters to maintain the immediacy required for live production.
Let’s go vertical! AiDi offers 9:16 automatic cropping for instant live streaming to mobile platforms. It also tracks objects such as players and balls. It is heavily used by NBC Sports and marks its first commercial deployment, marking its widespread expansion into the AI-enhanced live production market around the world.
AiDi is planned to be used seamlessly with FOR-A partner ClassX’s graphics software solutions, enabling rich graphical presentations.
The software-defined FOR-A IMPULSE live production platform is another highlight of this year’s FOR-A NAB booth. Best described as a “studio in a box,” FOR-A IMPULSE integrates all the software tools needed for broadcasting and is built into a server with high-speed GPU processing.
Equipped with software functions such as signal processing, multiview, switching, graphics, audio mix, and media player. Operators create production pipelines within the platform’s highly intuitive graph editor. As a software-based solution, you can easily reconfigure your pipeline depending on your application.
Configurations can be set manually or using AI guidance, which we plan to implement in the future.
FOR-A will also spotlight MixBoard, a software-based switcher that allows users to create complex compositions with unlimited layers. Powered by ClassX, MixBoard switches between cameras, presentations, and multimedia sources with professional 2D/3D transition effects. Key innovations in MixBoard include new video input types, including Media Engine for seamless playback of video clips, still images, and playlists, and Compositor for creating complex layouts and transitions with greater control during live production.
The company will also exhibit the HVS-Q12 video switcher. The ready-to-ship video switcher is a 2 M/E 3G switcher with software upgrade to 12G. MELite technology provides 3 M/E equivalent operation.
A compact 4RU switcher designed for broadcast control rooms and live event production, offering up to 60 inputs and 30 outputs in 3G mode and up to 42 inputs and 21 outputs in 12G mode. HD/3G allows up to 8 keyers per M/E. Four keyers are available for 12G transmission. HVS-Q12 has an IP interface that supports both Dante and NDI.
FOR-A will be hosting a FOR-A Connect event on April 18th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall, Level 2, Rooms W220-W221.
