New capabilities give organizations comprehensive visibility into AI spend across applications, agents, models, data platforms, and compute.

Flexera, a global leader in technology spend and risk management, today announced a comprehensive AI cost management feature set on its Flexera One platform. The solution is purpose-built to provide visibility, governance, and optimization of AI spend across the entire technology stack.

The cost of enterprise AI is skyrocketing with usage outpacing monitoring, with many companies blowing through their annual budgets in just a few months and exposing themselves to exorbitant costs due to weak management and volume-based productivity metrics.

Flexera addresses this challenge and provides the only AI cost management platform that spans agents, models, data, and compute. The platform tracks consumption-based AI costs, including tokens, credits, and more, within a single unified view. Connecting these layers gives Flexera a comprehensive understanding of how AI is used and where costs are incurred.

The company announced the new solution during its FinOps X 2026 keynote. Flexera announced an early access program that includes selected Fortune 500 companies to solve their biggest challenges in AI cost management.

“AI in the enterprise has moved from productivity to coworkers,” said Becky Trevino, chief product officer at Flexera. “Today’s AI does more than just answer questions; it infers, retries, and orchestrates. As we enter this new phase of AI, cost economics are what are holding back AI adoption. When the cost of AI exceeds revenue growth, businesses fail and AI transformation stalls.”

“We need a new AI operating model that understands the full economics of the AI stack and favors AI optimization. Flexera enables this new operating model by giving users the ability to measure and benchmark usage and optimize consumption costs to run AI at scale and affordably.”

As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, AI is becoming one of the fastest-growing budget categories, but complete visibility remains fragmented or not available at all. Without a unified view, organizations struggle to understand where AI is being used, who owns it, and what activities are driving costs, limiting their ability to act towards savings and proactively manage spending.

Flexera also announced FinOps Assist, an AI-powered FinOps assistant, along with new automation capabilities in FinOps X. Instead of static dashboards, FinOps Assist allows teams to query cost data in natural language to receive actionable insights and accelerate decision-making. Flexera has also expanded the automation of its Flexera One platform, allowing organizations to automatically act on savings opportunities, spend less time on manual analysis, and realize cost savings more quickly.

Flexera’s new capabilities address the unique challenges of the AI economy and help organizations manage increasingly complex environments across applications, agents, models, data platforms, and compute. Flexera brings together visibility, automation, governance, and control to help organizations fully understand and maximize the value of their AI investments.
