WASHINGTON (TNND) — A former Michigan doctor pleaded guilty earlier this month to receiving child pornography.
Lincoln Erickson, 32, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, was arrested in late 2025 and remains in custody, according to a Department of Justice press release.
Before his arrest, Erickson was a medical resident at a public university in the Detroit area.
“According to court records, investigators found videos of minors engaging in sex acts and AI-generated pornography depicting naked children interacting with adult men on Erickson’s cell phone,” the press release states. “Erickson also admitted that Erickson attempted to persuade another man to bathe the other man’s children and planned to go to the man’s home for that purpose.”
U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr. called Erickson a pervert and said he was grateful the FBI caught him.
“Individuals who record, possess, or distribute child sexual abuse materials should expect serious consequences under federal law,” said Jennifer Runyan, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Detroit Field Office. “This defendant, a former physician, was in possession of videos of children engaging in sex acts. We look forward to seeing this offender sentenced. Our FBI Detroit Children’s Crimes Task Force, along with our partners at the Detroit Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, continue to do great work to protect our youth and hold accountable those who seek to harm Michigan’s most vulnerable citizens.”
Erickson will be sentenced on September 15th.
