Elon Musk's social network is becoming more and more like a bot paradise with all the new features. The new AI Note Writer feature allows users to create notes using AI. The first note-taking bot will be displayed at the end of the month.
Despite Elon Musk's promise to fight bots on the X platform (Twitter), social networks are moving rapidly in the opposite direction.
X said that you can use GROK with X or other AI tools to create notes. The company says that notes generated by AI will undergo the same review process as user-generated notes.
“The goal is not to create AI assistants that tell users what to think, but to create an ecosystem that allows people to think more critically and understand the world better,” says X, a paper published in collaboration with MIT and the University of Washington.
X ensures that AI has the same opportunity to write community notes with real users of the platform, but must receive approval from users, and that AI cannot participate in the poll to promote its expertise.
However, many users have already expressed concern that using AI for fact checking seems suspicious given the frequency with which AI hallucinates or invents untrue contexts.
Community Notes (formerly Bird Watch) was one of the useful features that Mask inherited after getting Twitter. Thanks to community notes, network users have actively fought fake news and propaganda by adding context to their tweets. Community Notes became popular, especially at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The Community Notes were extremely successful, urging Meta, Tiktok and YouTube to launch similar initiatives.
Remember last month, X tried to conduct a new experiment aimed at identifying posts that receive likes from users with different political or ideological positions in order to reduce polarization of opinions in public spaces.
