A video shared like a wildfire on social media shows a lion roaming around a man sleeping in a quiet street at night. The animal smells him and, surprisingly, leaves without harming anyone.
People who share videos I called it a miracle. Some people wondered why I chose not to attack.
They also insisted it The video was from India. A Facebook user wrote in the video, “Indian Miracle: A Sleeping Man Survives a Close Meeting with a Lion.”
However, India Today fact checks discovered that the video was generated, not a real incident.
Our Probe
While sharing the video X user credited it to their YouTube channel Named “The world of beasts”. I found a video from the channel that was uploaded on June 6th. The description of the Portuguese video was clearly mentioned in the description that “Lion finds a person sleeping on the streets of Gujarat!” However, the video was either modified or synthesized.
I found out that after going through the channel, only shares are shared AI-generated videos of animals. The “About” section of the channel also points out that these videos are created using AI.
Apart from this, there is also a visual contradiction that shows that the video is composite. Similarly, text written on closed shop boards is meaningless. I tried to translate using Google lenses, but it didn't work properly.
Also, the man's sleeping position looks abnormal. The man can be seen lying on his stomach, but his legs are not aligned to the top of his body.
I also used it to check the video Google's SynthID Detector This helps you determine whether an image or video was created using Google AI. The detector confirmed that the video was created with Google AI.
Therefore, we concluded that the video is not realistic and is generated by AI.
