Artificial intelligence (AI) will play a key role in improving women’s healthcare by enabling earlier diagnosis, better clinical decision-making, higher surgical precision and access to a wider range of specialized care, experts said at FEHMICON 2026, a two-day academic conference organized by Fehmicare Hospital, Hyderabad.

The conference, held on July 11th and 12th, focused on the application of AI in obstetrics and gynecology. The first day included a practical workshop at Fefumicare Hospital, followed by a national Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.

Approximately 50 physicians received a demonstration of AI-powered applications that can be integrated into daily clinical practice. Sessions covered clinical documentation, patient communication, research, medical education, clinical decision support, and workflow management.

Dr Syed Mohamed Gohaus, Consultant Robotic and Transplant Surgeon at the Asian Kidney and Urology Institute, gave a keynote address on remote surgery. The conference’s host chair, Dr. L. Fahmida Banu, presented a session on current AI applications in clinical practice and its role in improving surgical precision, safety, and outcomes.
