The addition of Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 brings the best AI innovations from across the industry to Microsoft 365 Copilot, moving forward with its commitment to tailoring its business needs to suit your work.
Here's how the human model appears in Microsoft 365 Copilot from today:
- Researcher Agent: Our first inference agent can now be driven by either Openai's deep inference model or Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.1. Whether you're building a detailed market strategy, analyzing trends in emerging products, or creating a comprehensive quarterly report, you can now select the model you want and choose the detailed work. It helps researchers tackle complex, multi-step research. Not only web and trustworthy third-party data, but all working content offers expertise in all skills and model options across email, chat, meetings, files and more.
- Copilot Studio: Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 models are now available as model options in Copilot Studio, making it easy to create and customize enterprise-grade agents. This launch allows you to build, coordinate and manage agents powered by human models for deep inference, workflow automation and flexible agent tasks. Copilot Studio's multi-agent system and prompt tools also allow you to mix models used for special tasks of either humanity, Openai, or Azure model catalog models.
Opt in and you can easily switch between researchers' OpenAI and human models.
In Copilot Studio, the drop-down menu allows you to choose from a variety of model options. You can't jump between platforms to find the right tools.

Researcher Claude is deploying today through the Frontier Program to Microsoft 365 Copilot Licensed customers. The Humanity Model is hosted outside of the Microsoft-controlled environment and follows the Humanity Terms of Service.
