Cranberry, New Jersey, June 19, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – Increased use of AI has become a top priority for technology leaders, with 73% identifying it as the main focus of 2025, according to part 2 of 250 technology leaders in 2025. The data shows extensive momentum. 75% of organizations already using AI to create software in 2024, and 50% in 2025 will adopt it.
Over half (55%) of survey respondents said that the main factor in AI adoption is task automation to increase productivity. Other notable ways companies use AI in software creation are:
- Code optimization (48%)
- Improved diagnosis (46%)
- Test software (46%)
- Coding error fix (43%)
- Eliminate repetitive or administrative tasks (43%)
- Creating personalized experiences for customers (41%)
- Reduce development time/Improve productivity
- Dealing with limited resources (28%)
AI Integrated Safeguard
The momentum behind AI integration shows no signs of slowing down, clear data shows. However, serious concerns continue to emerge. A third (37%) of respondents flagged the risk of errors, bugs, and inefficiency in AI-generated code. This is an issue that can compromise reliability and performance. Equally annoying, another 37% highlights the potential security vulnerabilities, and the urgent need for robust protection as AI is embedded deeper into critical systems.
“AI accelerates innovation throughout the software development lifecycle and streamlines the tasks from code generation to testing and deployment,” explains Casey Ciniello, explaining the infrastructure of Slingshot Senior Product Manager. “However, integrating AI into development workflows introduces important considerations, particularly regarding accuracy, data integrity, security vulnerabilities and compliance. Organizations need to implement governance frameworks and technical protections to ensure secure and strategic implementation.”
The high-tech industry is keenly aware of the complex challenges pose by AI. According to a public survey, data privacy has emerged as the most pressing concern, with 78% of respondents citing it as the biggest issue. Transparency (57%) and data safety (55%) continue in close quarters, reflecting widespread unease about how AI systems will be developed and deployed. In response, businesses are taking action. Over 60% have implemented ethical AI guidelines, 59% have implemented formal privacy policies to protect against misuse, and 54% have implemented confidential information protection.
Ethical Considerations: Navigating AI Bias, Privacy Violations, and Untested Techniques
As AI becomes deeper into software development, ethical interests continue to grow. The survey revealed that privacy violations (38%), AI model bias (37%), and deployment of unsecurely tested AI applications (36%) were one of the most pressing concerns for organizations in 2025. As AI and software development continues to converge, organizations need to take a proactive approach to governance and risk mitigation.
According to a 2025 Vatican News article, “AI” can bring about significant innovation, but there are risks in situations of worsening discrimination, poverty, “digital disparities” and social inequality. ”
The message is clear. AI innovation must lead to strong ethical principles, rigorous testing, and comprehensive governance frameworks. Without them, AI promises could be responsible.
ai promotes job creation – not cut
Contrary to the fear that AI will bring about a ton of layoffs, the data tells a different story. Of the companies that adopted AI, 55% reported new job creation, while 63% added up to 25 new positions. AI is not replacing talent, it is reshaping its role in a rapidly evolving technological environment and creating new opportunities. This shift highlights the growing consensus. Success in AI integration is empowering the team rather than replacing talent.
“Companies are increasingly aware that ignoring AI is no longer an option,” Ciniello said. “From adopting AI to how to implement it responsibly and strategically, the conversation has changed. Now it's about ensuring that AI increases value without compromising safety and trust.”
