Tech billionaire Elon Musk posted an AI-generated video on July 22 featuring world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dressed in futuristic outfits. The video, shared on Musk's social media platform X, featured a virtual fashion show featuring celebrities including US Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama.

Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and X, introduced the video with the caption, “Time for the AI fashion show.” The video showed PM Modi walking down the runway looking stylish in chic sunglasses, white shoes and a vibrant patchwork ensemble. Other notable appearances included Russian President Putin, who wore a Louis Vuitton suit, and President Biden, who was in a wheelchair. Musk himself appeared as a superhero in a futuristic Tesla and X costume, while North Korean leader Kim Jong Un donned a sweatshirt and a striking gold necklace.

Other attendees at the AI fashion show included former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a dress, Apple CEO Tim Cook holding an iPad, Chinese President Xi Jinping carrying a handbag, and former President Barack Obama in a variety of costumes, including a gladiator costume and a basketball costume.

In addition to the video, Musk spoke on X with Vinod Khosla, an Indian-origin entrepreneur and major Democratic donor. Following President Biden's announcement that he will not seek reelection in November's election, Khosla called for an “open convention” to select a more moderate Democratic candidate. Khosla named Governors Gretchen Whitmer and Josh Shapiro as possible candidates.

Musk responded to Khosla's tweet by expressing his support for the Trump-Vance pair. Khosla then criticized Trump for his lack of values and harmful policies, especially on climate change. Khosla stressed the need for a president with integrity and values, and said Trump's personal actions and policies are unacceptable.
