DTEX Partners with Defense Trailblazer to Accelerate Australia’s Insider Risk Capabilities

AI and ML Jobs

DTEX Systems, a global leader in insider risk management, today announced that it will play a key role in strengthening Australia’s defenses against insider threats under a new partnership with the Defense Trailblazer program.

DTEX is one of 35 industry partners participating in a $240 million program aimed at accelerating defense innovation and workforce development in Australia. Officially launching on Friday 21 July, the program is a strategic partnership between the University of Adelaide and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, with support from the Australian Government Department of Education.

DTEX Systems is a cybersecurity company focused on preventing insider risks from becoming insider threats. The company combines his AI/ML with science-backed behavioral metrics to enable proactive insider his risk mitigation before data loss occurs. Under the Defense Trailblazer program, DTEX supports talent development through an internship program focused on developing the skills needed to detect, contain, and stop insider risk.

Insider risk is recognized as a significant national security concern for Australia. Earlier this year, Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO) Security Director Mike Burgess warned the organization against insider threats amid “concerns over an increase” in spies luring trusted insiders to steal sensitive information. He urged the prioritization of risk management.

“We are pleased to partner with Boeing Defense, Raidos, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Saab and Thales on this program to improve Australia’s sovereign capacity in detecting and managing insider risk. We are proud of DTEX,” said Mohan Khoo, co-founder and president of DTEX. “Dealing with insider risk is a top priority and requires urgent cooperation and upskilling. We look forward to developing the unique, multidisciplinary employee skills necessary for the next generation of insider risk capabilities across behaviors.”

The program is estimated to create over 2,400 new jobs over four years. DTEX Systems plays a key role in helping defense and government agencies combat insider risk.
