DreamFlare AI launches interactive AI-generated streaming service

Tuesday, July 9th. DreamFlare AI, a new consumer platform dedicated to high-quality AI-generated entertainment, officially launched this morning. It is led by former Google executive Josh Liss and professional filmmaker Rob Bralver, who has produced feature-length documentaries and music videos for big name artists like Moby. DreamFlare AI raised $1.65 million in a pre-seed round led by FoundersX and angel investors. They have been in stealth until now, aware that while this is still early days, there are many pioneers vying to claim space.

DreamFlare AI aims to blend technology and creativity to deliver interactive storytelling experiences not possible with other mediums. The platform offers two main types of experiences: “Flips,” immersive stories using AI-generated imagery with movement and sound, and “Spins,” interactive short films where viewers can make choices that affect the storyline. “This platform represents our deep passion for using innovation and technology for good, creating opportunity for people and spreading joy,” said Josh Liss, CEO and co-founder of Dreamflare.

The idea came to Co-Founder and Creative Director Blarbar last year, when he realized he could harness the disruptive power of AI to create new ways of making and distributing, and saw talented people in his community harnessing and sharing it. “We are entering a magical time,” says Blarbar. “A diverse and extraordinary global talent pool is emerging. These creators have never had the opportunity before because of a lack of access. We're giving them a way to share their vision, and audiences will discover a whole new medium of entertainment. It's not a movie, it's not a game, it's not a book. It's AI, but it's human and it's heartfelt.”

DreamFlare AI aims to bridge the gap between top Hollywood executives and budding AI creators, allowing them to bring their ambitious projects to life without the traditional barriers of funding, studios, or industry connections. The first group of content creators has been funded by the company. These producers will get a cut of subscription revenues and access to Kickstarter-like tools for fan fundraising, giving creators an incentive to drive their millions of followers from social media to DreamFlare and monetize their work.

DreamFlare AI operates on a freemium model, attracting new users with a weekly selection of free content. For users looking for unlimited access, the platform offers affordable subscription options for $9.99 per year or $2.99 ​​per month. The initial library includes six hours of content (20 hours if you play through all the branching stories), and DreamFlare AI aims to expand rapidly, adding significant new content every month.

Aggregators such as Curious Refuge and Runway are also making great strides in the industry. On social media platforms such as Instagram, artists such as Visual Dome and Nice Aunties have millions of followers, testifying to the growing popularity of film AI. Additionally, numerous free YouTube channels provide access to AI-generated content.

“Our desire is to create opportunity for people and spread joy,” Liss said. “That's our business and we're going to do our best and do our best to continue that in this space, in this new format.”
