Many people fear that AI will replace jobs, but in reality, AI can amplify human capabilities and make an organization 10 times more productive than her. Experimentation drives momentum. How can you maximize the value of a particular technology? Through experimentation. People need to consistently explore applications of AI across different functions. For an experiment to gain traction, several things need to happen.

  1. Employees need access to the tools they want to try, so organizations must implement rapid approval processes to ensure employee safety and security.
  2. Organizations need to share their experiences, learnings and feedback and provide a place for everyone to see. This can be done as easily as in Google Sheets, or you can share examples in weekly all-hands meetings.
  3. Many companies use “blameless post-mortems” to encourage experimentation without fear of mistake or retaliation. It's like a “fail fast” for the genAI project.

Programmatic approach: Ultimately, implementing the program is the best way to see real results from AI. Here are some approaches that your AI SWAT team or task force can take to effectively implement:

  1. Start with step-by-step use cases for each feature or workflow.
    1. Examples: Use AI tools and voice models to automate content creation in marketing, or use AI-powered chatbots to automate legal processes like contract reviews.
  1. Identify your mission-critical business processes and choose a small segment of the process first. (Note: Working on mission-critical processes requires cross-functional teams of technical and business experts, and you need to give them the time and resources to innovate. He offered three pieces of advice for those looking to implement AI in their organizations.
