Now, this is the whole story of how Smith got caught up in the AI crowd. Well, maybe “catched” is a bit hyperbolic. Fans are sure Will Smith used the AI crowd in a recent Instagram post from his concert in Scarborough after noticing strange, blurry and strange movements from the audience and signs of magical changes mid-video.
“My favorite part of the tour is seeing you soon. Thank you for meeting me too,” she captioned the video she shared a week ago. The clip contains some performance footage, but “We Love You”, “You Can Make It” helped survive cancer. This is a homage to fans who attended with signs such as “THX”.
Fans quickly found some anomalies in the crowd. “Why do half of the crowd seem to own it?” wrote one commenter. “Some of them had no eyes.”
Another said, “The AI crowd on the official page is embarrassing.”
Some of the faces in the crowd look obviously unnatural, and you can see them having a strangely proportional face with large eyes (see the face in the lower right corner of the first image below). The video signs will also change, such as reading “Lov U Fresh Prince” and becoming “Lov u fr6sh Cuntince.”
Obviously, this video has been tampered with in some way, but many fans jump to the conclusion that they may have used AI to fundamentally change the signs, but I don't think the reality is that creepy. Based on other videos and photos from the concert, it appears Will really performed in front of a packed crowd. If AI was used, I think it was to clean up the image, apply the correct color and sharpen it.
Will himself has not commented on AI crowd speculation, but let's make this a lesson for all artists. Using AI in video will make fans aware.
