During the third day of the US government shutdown, Donald Trump took him to Trurh Social to post an AI-generated music video depicting Russell Vought, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director, one of the architects of the conservative Project 2025 plan.
AI Video plays a cover version of the 1976 Blue Oyster Cult hit.
What does the video show?
The video created by AI is roaming the streets of Washington, DC, with Scythe in hand. The hooded figure is ultimately not masked as Russell hasn't vaught.
Opens in a scene with dark clouds – the video comes after the way Trump described the ongoing shutdown as an “opportunity to clean up dead trees.” Hundreds and thousands of workers from multiple federal agencies have already been torn.
As the scene unfolds, a surreal band takes the stage. Trump's AI-generated version, Vice President J.D. Vance, and the skeleton crew jam out into a reimagined cover of Blue Oyster Cult's 1976 classic “(Not horrifying)”.
But the lyrics aren't exactly the same. New poems get the following lines:
“Which Democratic institution will be cut?”
The new lyrics to the classic song come after Trump declared Thursday that Russell “meeted to decide which of the many Democratic institutions was political fraud.
The US government closure is expected to last until at least Friday. This is because the Senate disappeared on Thursday due to Yom Kippur's holiday.
Why is the US shutting down?
The US government officially closed on Wednesday (October 1) at 12am (October 1) after Congress and President Donald Trump failed to reach the funding deal.
Unlike many past shutdown stalemates, current standoffs do not exceed the policy clauses or funding items that Grand Old Party has included in its spending plans. Instead, Democrats are pushing to add major new restrictions on President Trump's control over more than $1 trillion in healthcare and federal funds.
