Comms Business – Amdocs delivers AI applications to modernize enterprises’ legacy systems

Applications of AI

Amdocs announced an initiative to deliver AI-driven application solutions designed to help businesses modernize legacy systems, move to the cloud, and improve technology with greater speed, efficiency, and resilience.

As enterprises increasingly seek to modernize complex application environments while maintaining performance and security, Amdocs combines multivendor hardening expertise with the NVIDIA AI and compute platform. This collaboration will enable organizations to speed up their modernization efforts with advanced AI agents, GPU-accelerated infrastructure, and optimized large-scale language models (LLMs).

Amdocs provides cloud migration, application modernization, and engineering capabilities integrated with NVIDIA AI infrastructure through multivendor agent services. Amdocs uses GPUs, NVIDIA Nemo, and NVIDIA NIM microservices to run open source NVIDIA Nemotron LLM to implement a customized AI architecture for a large-scale modernization program.

Additionally, Amdocs agents using the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit improve compliance, security, guardrails, assessment, and governance. This architecture supports resilient and scalable AI execution across modernization workflows, helping enterprises accelerate improvement while maintaining full operational control.

At the core of the solution is Amdocs’ Agent Service, part of AOS (Amdocs’ Carrier Agent Operating System). This brings specialized agents into a coordinated multi-agent workflow. Delivered through a growing library of pre-built, customizable enterprise flows, agent services operationalize AI across large-scale modernization initiatives. This scalable model simplifies execution, enhances quality and consistency, and delivers measurable business outcomes with full observability and control, supporting enterprises from initial business case to implementation.

“Modernizing enterprise applications requires both powerful AI models and the infrastructure to run them efficiently at scale,” said Chris Penrose, global vice president of communications business development at NVIDIA. “By combining NVIDIA accelerated computing, agent toolkits, NIM inference microservices, and Nemotron models with Amdocs’ deep agent services and modernization expertise, enterprises can deploy AI-driven modernization workflows that accelerate transformation while maintaining security, governance, and performance.”

“Enterprises are increasingly looking to modernize their legacy systems to drive operational efficiency and agility,” said Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President and Head of Strategy, Technology at Amdocs. “By integrating NVIDIA’s AI and Accelerated Computing Platform with Amdocs Agent Service on aOS, we are transforming modernization into an agent-driven, intelligently orchestrated process that enables organizations to refactor applications, move them to the cloud, and improve technology. It allows you to modernize your stack faster, while delivering measurable improvements in key metrics such as system reliability, time to value, and total cost of ownership.”
