Industrial AI applications were showcased at the last WAIC in Shanghai.
ChatGPT developer OpenAI, along with other global tech giants, will attend the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), China’s top annual AI conference, held in Shanghai next month.
Companies and organizations such as OpenAI, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Intel, and Google will attend WAIC, some of which will be speaking for the first time. Over 1,400 speakers are expected to share their technology vision, the highest number ever for a WAIC since his debut in 2018.
According to the organizers, they will share ideas on large models of AI, AI for science, computing capabilities, metaverse, talent and various other topics, bringing “AI brainstorming” in Shanghai.
As part of WAIC, an offline exhibition with a total area of 50,000 square meters will also be held. Over 400 exhibitors will showcase the latest innovations in areas such as large models, chips, robotics and smart driving. A large AI model covering text, vision, and other multi-model disciplines is expected to be a hit at WAIC.
The 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference will be held from July 6th to 8th at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, and the sub-conferences will be held in Pudong New Area and Xuhui District, Zhangjiang City.
