C3 AI deploys C3 code and transforms natural language into AI applications

Applications of AI

C3 AI is making C3 Code generally available, positioning the product as a tool for building enterprise AI applications using autonomous, agent-based coding on the C3 Agentic AI platform.

According to the US-based enterprise AI software company, users can specify their requirements in natural language, and then a tailored agent will design, configure, test, and deploy the application.

C3 AI reported an internal evaluation using Anthropic’s Claude to review documentation across multiple platforms, giving C3 Code an overall score of 9.2 out of 10.

The company said its scores compared C3 Code to OpenAI’s Codex (6.0), Anthropic’s Claude Code (5.2), and Palantir (7.7).

In this evaluation, C3 Code was given the highest score in all aspects listed, including a score of 10 for Domain Intelligence.

The evaluation covered enterprise suitability, depth of agent AI, domain intelligence, technical breadth, flexibility of language models and tools at scale, and deployment and operations.

The product includes access to more than 40 enterprise AI applications and packages across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, financial services, defense, utilities, and healthcare.

According to C3 AI, these assets, along with their data abstraction “type system,” are connected to live, managed enterprise data.

The company added that production domain algorithms are available for use cases such as anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and predictive maintenance. He also said corpus materials such as developer documentation, API references, architectural blueprints, and community patterns will be available to AI agents.

C3 code generates a full-stack application from a single prompt, generating data models, APIs, machine learning pipelines, agent workflows, and user interfaces. The platform can coordinate agents to run in parallel or in sequences across systems and data sources.

According to C3 AI, deployment is performed through a pipeline with security controls, role-based access, and audit trails.

The company explained that the system is model agnostic, allowing organizations to choose or change language model providers at scale and maintain portability of applications, data, and models.

“One team member can explain a business problem in plain English, and C3 Code delivers a complete, managed, production-grade AI application,” said C3 AI CEO Stephen Ehikian.

C3 AI claims that with C3 Code, enterprise teams can build supply chain intelligence that uses geospatial dashboards and drill-down analysis to detect inventory shortages across global sites in real time, delivering production-ready AI in hours.

The new tool also supports global part visibility by ingesting enterprise resource planning (ERP), logistics, freight, and supplier data to configure search augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and planning agents, and deploys a conversational user interface (UI) with live tracking to reduce delivery times from days to weeks to hours.

To optimize asset performance, teams can configure and extend domain AI algorithms for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance without the need for a dedicated data science team.

The company said these applications can be created in a matter of hours.
