The benefits of AI go far beyond task automation. Since November 2024, AI adoption among workers has increased by 50%, with 60% of workers currently using AI. Using AI is now a daily habit. AI is improving employee engagement and sense of belonging. Daily AI users are more likely to feel connected to 246% of their colleagues and report a 62% higher sense of belonging at work. More than one in three people at Gen Z feel more connected in the workplace. These digital natives have not changed the way they engage or work with their teammates. 50% say that AI has not affected their ability to work in the workplace. In fact, 29% of Gen Z noted that AI actually helped increase engagement.
Executive workers lead the daily use of AI
Executives use AI daily at 43%, compared to 35% of senior management and 23% of intermediate managers using AI daily. Millennials are also emerging as surprising AI power users in the workplace. 30% of millennials say they have a thorough understanding of AI agents. Additionally, 68% of millennials use AI for strategic tasks like drafting, summarizing and ideas.
It's encouraging to see business leaders adopt the daily use of AI and lead by giving examples. It is also important to note that desk workers are expanding their skills and ability to provide more positive outcomes by increasing the daily use of AI.
