While Baron, the youngest child of US President Donald Trump, usually maintains a low profile, media reports suggest that the 19-year-old may have a quiet role in parents' policy and education initiatives, particularly those that include artificial intelligence (AI).
On Thursday, First Lady Melania Trump chaired the White House Task Force meeting focused on AI education. The meeting attended by Education Secretary Linda McMahon and other key officials was urged by President Trump's executive order to expand AI education across American schools.
During the meeting, McMahon made easy comments while interacting with the First Lady, hinting at Baron's behind the scenes involvement.
“I think Baron is helping this a bit too, and maybe I'll charge a bit for that,” McMahon told Melania. Irish Star.
In response, Melania smiled and nodded, providing no further details. Comments briefly suggested Baron's influence or role of advice in his mother's AI-related efforts despite his well-known preference for privacy.
In a statement released before the conference, Melania emphasized the need for ethical and responsible integration of AI in education. “I predict that AI will represent our country's biggest growth category during the Trump administration,” the statement read.
“As leaders and parents, we must manage the growth of AI responsibly. At this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI the same way our children do.
Melania and Donald Trump have proudly spoken about their son's intelligence in the past. The president calls Baron a “very smart man” with “an incredible aptitude for technology.”
Baron reportedly reportedly advised his father about strategies to connect with younger voters during the campaign cycle, showing a growing awareness of digital and generational dynamics.
Speculation continues as to whether Baron will enter politics or follow the legacy of his father's business, but Donald Trump hinted at another possibility in an interview with Fox News. “Maybe it's technology,” Donald Trump said when asked about his son's future.
Despite being a member of New York University, Baron reportedly was not seen on campus for several months.
