- AWS and Nvidia aim to power AI factories
- Collaboration including the latest hardware
- Businesses and governments alike could benefit
AWS announced that it is working with Nvidia to develop and build so-called “AI factories,” ultra-powerful facilities that bring together the most powerful hardware to power the next generation of AI.
The news, revealed at AWS re:Invent 2025, sees the two tech giants collaborating on an upcoming AI factory that includes Nvidia AI hardware and AWS’s latest Trainium chips, networking tools, and storage and database technology.
By bringing all of this together, organizations and governments alike can develop AI Factory technology to scale up their workloads and take the next step.
Other AI factories
According to AWS, this new approach will allow enterprises to scale and develop AI projects that require significant amounts of money, time, and other resources in a more streamlined and effective manner.
Instead, AI Factories will deploy dedicated AWS AI infrastructure directly into customers’ data centers, ensuring a high degree of customization as well as security and monitoring, effectively creating something like a private AWS Region for customers, the company said.
In addition, the AWS and Nvidia partnership will enable customers to build and run LLMs faster and at scale, giving AWS customers access to Nvidia’s full stack of AI software.
This includes the latest NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin platforms, as well as support for Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion high-speed chip interconnect technology coming soon to next-generation Trainium4 chips.
“Large-scale AI requires a full-stack approach, from advanced GPUs and networking to software and services that optimize every layer of the data center, and we’re working with AWS to deliver all of this directly to our customers’ environments,” said Ian Buck, vice president and general manager of hyperscale and HPC at Nvidia.
“By combining NVIDIA’s latest Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin architecture with AWS’s secure, high-performance infrastructure and AI software stack, AWS AI Factories enables organizations to stand up powerful AI capabilities in a fraction of the time and fully focus on innovation, not integration.”
