Ready or not, Jennifer Lopez is joining the war to save humanity. atlasNetflix's upcoming sci-fi action movie.
In a new Netflix video, Atlas Shepard, played by Lopez, is talking to Colonel Elias Banks (Sterling K. Brown) when a bomb explodes on the ship. Amidst the chaos, Banks outfits Atlas with his AI-powered robot suit. Atlas doesn't know how to use the suit, but Banks says, “Let's hope you learn quickly.” When the preview ends, Atlas' suit detaches from the ship and falls into free fall.
Lopez plays Atlas, a talented data analyst with a deep mistrust of AI. After her ship comes under attack, Atlas must take part in a mission to capture rebellious robots from the past. The Netflix logline reads, “When her plans fail, she trusts the AI and her only hope is to save humanity from the AI.”
In addition to Lopez and Brown, atlas The cast includes Simu Liu as Harlan, Mark Strong as General Jake Booth, Lana Parrilla as Val Shepard, and Gregory James Cohan as the voice of Smith.
