MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) – There are concerns that artificial intelligence programs will take over and people will lose their jobs. While some industries can do that, others are accepting that AI can help them more efficiently and effectively.
With the National Day Calendar, every day is a celebration. Chris Vandeventer creates videos for his company, and AI has made editing much easier.
“Instead of watching the video and cutting and pasting, you can edit the video simply by using the transcript. Just delete words and the video will be edited automatically,” said Vandeventer, media manager for the National Day Calendar.
He can now produce four videos a day instead of two.
AI-generated transcripts aren’t the only advantage. Before AI, Vandeventer had to manually edit obstacles, which was a waste of time.
“We installed some boards, some shelving and some plumbing on the brick wall,” Vandeventer said.
Now, an AI green screen does the work for him in his editing bay, putting founder Marlo Anderson behind the proper backdrop.
“We live in a time now where so many of us are so pressed for time. I think AI can do a good job of doing that if you can find a way to save time, and that can really help,” said Marlo Anderson, founder of the National Day Calendar.
As the use of AI continues to expand, the people at National Day Calendar are choosing to embrace the new world.
Anderson said he hopes artificial intelligence tools will allow employees to focus on more important tasks, rather than taking their jobs away.
