MMS video: The mystery surrounding a “19-minute viral video'' that allegedly shows private and intimate moments of Bengali influencer Sofik SK and his girlfriend Sonali continues to deepen as speculation emerges that the viral MMS clip could be an AI-generated hoax.
What did the police say?
Media reports cited law enforcement officials as claiming that the viral clip was generated by AI, while warning against violating personal privacy and sharing fake/AI-generated content on social media platforms.
“This 19-minute viral video has been generated by AI,” a police officer reportedly said, warning netizens that sharing explicit MMS clips could invite legal repercussions under relevant sections of the IT Act.
“Sharing someone's private video, fake video or AI-generated video can attract legal action under Sections 67, 67A and 66 of the IT Act, which can lead to imprisonment and heavy fines. Violating someone's privacy and sharing explicit videos without their consent is a crime,” the officer added.
Was the 19-minute viral video generated by AI?
Meanwhile, there is overwhelming evidence that the 19-minute viral video is not an AI-generated fake.Although the identities of the young couple in the 19-minute 34-second viral video are unknown, multiple reports claim that the duo seen in the MMS clip are Bengali YouTuber Sofik SK and his girlfriend Sonali. However, India.com could not independently verify these claims.
Sofik SK and Dustu Sonali are content creators and often create videos together for their Instagram and YouTube handles. Sofik SK runs the popular Bengali YouTube channel Pari Glam TV, while Sonali has over 312,000 followers on Instagram and calls herself an “artist.”
Following the controversy, the couple issued separate apologies under their respective handles, blaming their friend for leaking their private videos and claiming that their friend had been blackmailing them.

Notably, amid the controversy surrounding the '19-minute viral video', another video has surfaced on social media platforms claiming that a girl who watched an explicit 19-minute MMS video died by suicide.
Amid the MMS video controversy, a video has gone viral showing a young woman lying motionless on the ground, believed to be dead. A background narration claims that the girl in the video “committed the crime out of shame” after the 19-minute MMS clip was leaked.
