$25,000 for Generated AI Innovation for Africans
The Llama Impact Accelerator program is a regional program in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Senegal.
Llama is a large suite of language models developed by Meta, designed to generate and understand human-like text in open source software designs optimized for efficiency. The Llama model needs to have fewer computational resources for training and inference compared to many other LLMs. This makes it more accessible to the wider community of developers and researchers.
The Llama Impact Accelerator program is for startups based in Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal or South Africa, using llamas to build impactful generator AI solutions.
- Has a practical prototype or MVP, including early stage products that clearly demonstrate technical possibilities
- Fully participate in the 6-week accelerator (including face-to-face sessions)
- There are solutions tailored to the country-specific focus area (see country page for more information)
It offers stock funding up to $25,000, access to workshops and practical technical training, and mentorship from industry experts and AI leaders for African innovators.
