Apple has increased its commitment to its services over the past few years. The company generates tens of billions of dollars in revenue from its services division and claims it had a record year in 2025. Apple is trying to move a little further in that direction with a new subscription bundle called Apple Creator Studio.
This allows creators to pay a single price ($13 per month or $129 per year) to use Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. Subscribers will have access to “premium content” in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers (and Freeform later this year). Of course, it also has an AI function. Apple Creator Studio will be available starting January 28th, and you can try it out for free through a one-month free trial.
College students and educators can subscribe to Apple Creator Studio for $3 per month or $30 per year. If one person in your family sharing group subscribes, up to six people can access all of the plan’s features.
Apple said Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage will continue to be available as one-time purchases for Mac through the Mac App Store. Considering these can be quite expensive (up to $300 for Final Cut Pro), this subscription could be attractive to many fast-growing creators.
This looks like Apple’s attempt to push into Adobe territory, especially now that Adobe is introducing AI capabilities into many of these apps. Adding new features to productivity apps like Numbers and Keynote also means Apple is taking on the likes of Microsoft 365 Copilot (yep, that’s what Office is now) and Google Workspace.
On Mac and iPad, Final Cut Pro has a new feature called Beat Detection. Apple suggests this allows you to “quickly edit videos to the rhythm of your music.” Analyze your music tracks and display beat grids using Logic Pro’s AI models. The idea here is to visualize the parts, beats, and bars of the song so that the editor can adjust the cuts to fit the music.

The AI-powered Montage Maker tool can stitch together “dynamic videos based on the best visual moments in the footage.” You can fine-tune these montages and use the automatic cropping tool to reframe the clips into a vertical format to make them social media-friendly. Final Cut Pro also has transcription and visual search features.
Logic Pro, MainStage, Pixelmator Pro (which will support Apple Pencil on iPad), and Motion all also have AI-powered features. As you might expect, some of these require an Apple Intelligence-enabled device.
Apple is also introducing something called Content Hub. This media library includes “a selection of high-quality photographs, graphics, and illustrations.”
When it comes to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, subscribing to an Apple Creator Studio plan gives you access to premium templates and themes in the typically free apps. Subscribers can try out beta versions of new features such as how to generate drafts of keynote text based on an outline and the Magic Fill tool to generate formulas and fill in tables in Numbers.
