Amity turns Singapore into a global AI hub
After securing Southeast Asia’s largest AI funding round this year, Thai-founded enterprise AI company Amity has put Singapore at the center of its global expansion strategy, opening a new AI research hub and regional headquarters.
Thai-founded enterprise AI company Amity has officially established Singapore as a global artificial intelligence hub, strengthening the growing city-state’s position as a regional center for enterprise AI innovation.
The move follows Amity’s recent $100 million Series D funding round, making it Southeast Asia’s largest AI and machine learning investment in Q1 2026, according to DealStreetAsia. The funding was led by EDBI, the investment arm of SG Growth Capital, along with Asia Partners, SMDV and other investors.
The new Singapore office will serve as Amity’s Southeast Asia headquarters and home to the newly established AI Research and Applications Center (ARAC), which will spearhead the company’s AI development efforts as it targets $200 million in annual revenue by the end of 2026 and prepares for an initial public offering in 2027.
Enterprise AI at the core
Amity has grown rapidly over the past three years, increasing annualized revenue by more than 10x to over $100 million in 2025. The company plans to deploy the latest funding on three priorities: accelerating the development of agent AI, driving strategic acquisitions in Europe and Southeast Asia, and expanding its engineering and commercial teams in Singapore.
The group’s software platform currently serves more than 10 million monthly active users in more than 20,000 organizations in more than 20 countries. It has also agreed to acquire UK-based communications software provider Code Software through its Tolling subsidiary, further strengthening its presence in Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Executive Chairman and Founder Korawad Cheravanon The company said it aims to develop AI specifically designed for Asian companies, rather than adapting solutions built for Western markets.
Vertical AI model
At the heart of the expansion is ARAC, which develops industry-specific AI models trained on enterprise data rather than general-purpose datasets. The research center focuses on agent AI that can autonomously run end-to-end business processes, with initial applications targeting sectors such as retail, telecommunications, and business services.
Amity plans to create up to 60 new positions in Singapore over the next three years across AI research, engineering and commercial sectors.
Why Singapore?
The company said Singapore’s mature AI ecosystem, rich talent pool, regulatory environment and government-backed national AI strategy made it a natural choice as a regional base.
The company also highlighted the country’s focus on sectors such as financial services, advanced manufacturing, connectivity and healthcare, which are closely aligned with Amity’s vertical AI strategy.
The Singapore operation will combine the capabilities of Amity’s five businesses: Amity Solutions, Tollring, EGG Digital, Amity Accentix and Amity-Nordstar, giving enterprise customers access to customer experience, communications, analytics and AI services through a single provider.
