Akshay Kumar’s ‘Booth Bangla’ announcement receives backlash from netizens
On Saturday, Akshay Kumar released the ‘Bhooth Bangla’ video and announced that the film will be released in theaters early. Immediately, netizens criticized the use of AI in the announcement video. The clip showed a black cat scratching the date May 15 on a calendar and spilling milk on it. The cat then licks the spilled milk on the calendar and a new release date appears: April 10th. Some X users called this a “garbage” promotion due to the AI-generated video. Not only that, people even questioned the release date. They said the movie is scheduled to be released just three to four weeks after the release of “Durandal 2” and “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults,” which could impact the horror-comedy’s box office performance. X users said that it was a “bad decision” on the part of the makers because of the Ranveer Singh starrer and that “Bhooth Bangla” would be a commercial failure as Yash’s film turned out to be a success.See the comments here.
