Wrestling enthusiasts have taken fandom a step too far.
AJ Lee has asked fans to delete a video of him apparently meeting an AI at a handshake event. It was later changed to show them kissing. Something that didn’t happen during the meeting.
It is widely known that Lee is married to WWE Superstar and current World Champion CM Punk.
Lee commented on the video, saying, “It’s inappropriate and harassing. I want it deleted.”
So far, users have not deleted the videos.
The video is tagged with the message, “This is an AI photo that AJ Lee asked to be removed.”
In response to a request to remove the video, the user wrote: “You know I am officially mentally ill and have been diagnosed with a disorder. Congratulations! You are now publicly bullying a mentally retarded person with death threats.”
CM Punk himself recently expressed his thoughts about some fans overstepping boundaries, saying, “Unfortunately, we have to have this conversation again. Don’t show up at the airport. Don’t show up at the hotel. I can’t believe I have to say this. Don’t follow people. I’ve been told so many times to be polite, no, be respectful. You’re not a fan, you’re a stalker, and you’ll be treated as such. Respect boundaries. Stop harassing people.”
