El Segundo, California. Pacific Defense has won a $9.1 million contract from the Naval Lab (ONR) to develop, integrate and demonstrate the capabilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)-enabled electronic warfare (EW) sensor effectors.
The purpose of this project is to demonstrate distributed AI capabilities, including the Autonomous Cyber-EW effect, to multifunctional edge nodes using Onr's ubiquitous edge distribution software architecture. Edge nodes are built with sensor open system architectures or modular designs aligned to SOSA, technical standards, and C5ISR/EW modular open standard (CMOSS), enabling a secure electronic warfare software-defined radio (SDR) environment and enabling rapid integration of new rigid and software.
Pacific Defense will be conducted by Pacific Defense in partnership with Perceptronics Solutions and Carnegie Mellon University at El Segundo, California. Nashua, New Hampshire. Fairfax, Virginia. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, adds the statement. The contract will run until October 2026.
