According to a Genius HRTech report, the adoption of artificial intelligence in the workplace is moving faster than companies’ training efforts, leaving many employees unprepared for their rapidly changing roles.According to news agency PTI, the report found that 71% of professionals believe their roles and responsibilities will change significantly in the coming years as AI-driven tools and workflows become mainstream. However, training has not kept pace with this change. 61% of respondents said their organization does not provide adequate guidance on how to use AI effectively, and only 37% reported receiving adequate training.
The findings are based on an online survey conducted in November 2025 among 1,704 subject matter experts, the report said.This structured support gap appears to be shaping employee perceptions of AI adoption. According to the report, 55% of respondents feel that AI adoption is inevitable, while 37% believe the push is more driven by trends than actual business needs.Despite these concerns, the use of AI is already widespread. Approximately 67% of respondents said they use AI tools to simplify or automate their daily tasks, highlighting the speed at which technology is being integrated across roles. At the same time, the experience remains mixed. While 69 percent said AI has simplified business processes, 25 percent feel it has increased complexity, suggesting that while efficiency gains come with new challenges.Trust in the output produced by AI also remains a hurdle. Only 49% of experts said they would trust AI insights without manual verification, 36% said they did not trust AI, and 15% said trust depended on the task, the report found.Commenting on the findings, RP Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director, Genius HRTech, said: “AI is no longer a distant concept, but it is now shaping daily workflows across every industry.” He added that while professionals value efficiency, they also expect organizations to provide clarity and training. “The workplace of the future will only thrive if human intelligence and AI complement each other rather than compete,” Yadav said, according to a PTI report.
