Ray3, which supports native HDR, will be available in Adobe's Firefly app along with Luma AI's Dream Machine Platform
Luma AI has announced its latest generation video model and its first launch partner.
Ray3 is one of the first video AI models to support native HDR, allowing for the creation of high-quality videos of movies for periods of up to 10 seconds. Building on a new multimodal reasoning system, the purpose of this solution is to enhance understanding of creative intent, allowing users to maintain character consistency and create natural movements.

Announcing the release, Luma AI also revealed that Adobe will act as the first third-party launch partner. In addition to its proprietary Dream Machine platform, Ray3 is also available in Adobe's Firefly app as part of a broader strategy to develop Firefly as the go-to solution for creative AI. Ray3 sits with models from Adobe Partners, including Google, Openai, Runway, Ideogram, Pika, Ideogram, Topaz Labs, Moonvalley and more.
Karan Ganesan, founding engineer at Luma AI, said, “Ray3 was built together with the Center's filmmakers, storytellers and creators. This integration with Adobe Firefly brings that vision to life by combining Adobe's creative app ecosystem with Ray3's intelligence to workflows.
This collaboration allows Adobe users to integrate various features into creative workflows such as:
- Filmmakers, producers and visual storytellers can test visual orientation during storyboards and planning scenes to test visual orientation before shooting, generating environment, composition of shots, and camera perspective.
- Content creators can quickly generate Broll or background footage using Ray3 in Firefly text.
- Firefly's Ray3 can be synced to your Creative Cloud account and bring content to Adobe apps such as Premiere Pro for editing and improvements.
“We're excited to announce that we're a great place to go,” said Hannah Elsakr, vice president of Adobe's new Genai Business Ventures. “At Adobe, we believe that the right AI tools will help you move faster while controlling your creative vision. That's why we focus on building a creative ecosystem for the future.
