Samsung may be preparing to release another artificial intelligence (AI)-based feature later this year, according to a new leak.

A source familiar with the matter revealed that the company plans to introduce a feature called artificial intelligence with the One UI 6.1.1 update. This could be part of Samsung's Galaxy AI feature set, which launches in January and offers features such as Circle to Search, live translation, and comments.

Specifically, Google and Samsung are collaborating on developing new artificial intelligence features for the Android ecosystem.

According to X Advisor (formerly Twitter) Ice Universe, the South Korean tech giant is working on video AI features that it plans to introduce in the One UI 6.1.1 update. This update is expected to be announced at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to be announced. We don't know anything about what this new feature does, but the name gives us a hint.

The tech giant has added productive artificial intelligence photo editing features to the Galaxy S24 series, allowing users to resize, delete, and reposition objects in images. However, video editing does not yet have such functionality.

Video AI refers to AI-based editing tools that can perform the same edits that photo editors do on videos. Another possibility is to use artificial intelligence to generate text-to-video conversions, but this technology is still in its infancy, with companies like OpenAI still working on the Sora model.

However, this is just speculation, and whether such a feature is actually in development will only be detailed at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored to take place in July.

Samsung users with Galaxy AI-enabled smartphones can now use Circle to easily search visually, use Chat Assist to improve the messages they type, and Notes app's Note Assist to improve text You can summarize, translate, and format.

Earlier this month, Samsung confirmed that all of its 2022 flagship devices will be equipped with Galaxy AI in One UI 6.1 starting in May.
