<span>Story: Nvidia announced a major new chip in Taiwan on Monday (June 1).</span><span>RTX Spark PC chips bring AI capabilities directly to laptop and desktop computers.</span><span>Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang spoke about the company’s latest innovations at the Computex Conference in Taiwan.</span><span>“There’s no question that this reinvention of the computer is as big an event as the reinvention of the telephone into what we now know as the smartphone. And this is the beginning of that journey.”</span><span>He added that the move is part of NVIDIA and Microsoft’s efforts to “reinvent” the PC for the AI ​​era, following a three-year collaboration between the two companies.</span><span>The chip is designed to run AI agents locally, rather than relying solely on cloud computing, and is expected to ship this fall.</span><span>Some analysts believe this could change the way users interact with AI.</span><span>One market source told Reuters the chip is aimed at turning traditional app-centric PCs into Agentic AI personal computers.</span><span>Huang also showed off Nvidia’s new Vera central processing unit (CPU) at Computex.</span><span>It is designed for AI agents, and early adopters include OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX, and more.</span><span> “This will be a new major growth driver for our company. The reviews are already coming in and are pretty good. This is pretty good.”</span><span>Huang said last month that the new Vera CPUs will give the company access to a new $200 billion market.</span><span>Leaders from the world’s biggest technology companies are heading to Computex.</span><span>The trade fair will be held from June 2nd to June 5th.</span>
