IISER Tirupati’s one-year specialized master’s program is open for admission in 2026-2027 in Biological Data Science (BioDS) and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS-AI) tracks. The program was launched in 2024 and is offered in online mode to working adults and graduates across science, technology and related fields for industry-relevant skill development and applied learning pathways.The program is designed as an integrated coursework that combines theoretical and applied training with hands-on learning using real datasets. These are in place for candidates looking to advance into data-driven areas. The Institute operates as a Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education and provides access to computational facilities, seminars and workshops, and interaction with research institutes and industry partners to achieve applied exposure results.Programs and specializations offered at IISER TirupatiBiological Data Science (BioDS) focuses on applications in genomics, sequencing companies, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and AI-driven life sciences. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS-AI) covers machine learning, data analysis, NLP, and computational problem solving across industries. Both programs focus on an interdisciplinary learning approach designed to make participants industry-ready upon completion, with hands-on projects using real-world datasets and the development of applied skills as central objectives. They will support your career transition into emerging data-driven sectors while strengthening your analytical capabilities and technical expertise.Eligibility criteria and admission procedure detailsApplicants must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree in science, technology, computer applications, or architecture, or equivalent qualification. Graduate degree holders in science or technology fields are also eligible. Minimum academic requirements include a 60 percent overall score or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 for undergraduate programs and a 55 percent overall score or CGPA of 5.5 for graduate degrees. Applications are now open for the 2026-2027 admissions cycle and candidates from industry and academia are encouraged to apply through the official admissions portal with the required supporting documents.
