A free video series has been launched to enhance AI skills among charity leaders.
The eight-part series was produced by Zoe Amar, director of Zoe Amar Digital, and was developed in collaboration with Microsoft.
The series' launch comes after a digital consultant worked with Microsoft to run the Charity AI Leadership Accelerator Program. This was significantly overregistered, with over 400 leaders applying for the 100 Places program.
The consultant said this “shows a huge appetite from leaders for supporting AI, creating efficiency, improving support staff and volunteers, and enhancing service delivery.”

While 76% of charities use AI tools, the sector is facing a “leadership crisis” when it comes to AI skills, the report says. More than a third of the charities surveyed said that their CEOs have low AI skills, while 44% say that they have low skills in the field.
Each video explores practical approaches tested by charity leaders in the Charity AI Leadership Program and is easily implemented.
The four videos provide insights from small charity leaders centering on the following topics: How to lead the board through AI decisions. Build AI confidence in your small charity. Creating an AI Leadership Action Plan.
The remaining four videos focus on insights from large charities. How to build AI governance that enables innovation. How to lead AI change management across charities. Create a strategic AI roadmap.
