Mark Zuckerberg's company Meta has announced that it is rolling out new AI features for US Instagram users.

The new feature will allow users to create AI versions of themselves on Instagram and on the web using a new tool called AI Studio. The Verge report.

Additionally, the update is specially designed for creators and business owners, allowing AI profiles to communicate with their followers on their behalf.

These AI profiles can easily respond and react to comments and direct messages (DMs) on the author's account with a range of emojis.

Meanwhile, to use the AI profiles, “creators will be able to customise the AI based on their Instagram content, topics they want to avoid, links they want to share and more. The post goes on to say that creators will also be able to toggle things like auto-replies from the AI and specify which specific accounts it can interact with,” the company wrote in a blog post.

Following the creation of Character.AI and Replika, AI Studio now allows users to develop new characters that can be used in Meta's other applications.

However, Meta allowed many celebrities to create AI versions of themselves that looked the same but had different names, as the robots might say things that would be problematic for the celebrities.
