As reported by The Verge, YouTube announced at VidCon that it will adopt Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing service from Area 120, Google’s experimental product incubator, to enable AI-powered dubbing of its videos. .
Aloud’s website shows how the dubbing process works. First, transcribe the video with your voice. It is then available for review and editing by the author. Finally, the program will translate and dub the video for you to upload.
The site claims that transcription takes minutes and is available in Spanish and Portuguese. Languages are limited at the moment, but Google says it plans to add support for Hindi, Indonesian and other languages in the near future.
