Have you ever watched a YouTube video and found it didn't contain the information you expected? YouTube now has an AI system that lets YouTube Premium subscribers automatically skip to the most relevant part of the video. It is expanding. Google hopes this new feature will help you save time by skipping long sections that aren't relevant to what you're looking for. The feature is currently only available to YouTube Premium members, according to a report from 9to5Google, who discovered that you can sign up through his website on YouTube.
Google already uses a similar AI system to help Google Search find relevant parts of videos. Looking for a way to fix a part of your car? You may have noticed that Google recommends specific chapters on the subject rather than his entire YouTube video. Now something similar is appearing on YouTube.
When you turn on this feature and instruct the AI assistant, YouTube will skip to the parts of your video that it thinks will be of most interest to you, based on your searches and other factors. To enable this, double tap the screen to proceed. Eligible videos will display a button to jump to his AI-recommended spots within the video.
Here's Google's announcement regarding this feature:
Google hopes this feature will encourage more YouTube viewers to pay for YouTube Premium. For now, this is just a beta test, and depending on the results of this test, it may or may not be rolled out to all YouTube Premium members. Google has tested other features in the past that weren't fully released after beta testing.
